Overall Job Objective:
To support the execution of media and educational outreach activities related to the mission. The role includes assisting in public communication, academic engagement, and media coordination to raise awareness about the mission and inspire future generations in line with national priorities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in maintaining relationships with media outlets and coordinating communication efforts.
- Support the preparation of press releases, media kits, and briefing documents.
- Help organize press interviews, public events, and media visits to mission facilities.
- Contribute to public awareness campaigns that highlight the mission’s objectives and achievements.
- Provide logistical support for exhibitions, workshops, and public engagement activities.
- Assist in responding to public inquiries and supporting social media engagement.
- Coordinate with educational institutions to support STEM outreach activities linked to the mission.
- Help in developing educational resources such as presentations, basic lesson materials, and digital content.
- Support coordination of guest lectures, workshops, and academic collaborations.
- Engage with students and youth groups by supporting mentorship and outreach initiatives.
- Assist in creating content for social media, blogs, and infographics to communicate scientific topics clearly.
- Help maintain the mission’s website and social media platforms with regular updates.
- Ensure all content complies with brand identity and national messaging.
- Support monitoring of public sentiment and media coverage.
- Coordinate with internal and external partners to facilitate outreach tasks and initiatives.
- Assist in building partnerships with cultural and educational entities to extend the mission’s reach.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.
- 0–3 years of experience in media, public relations, or outreach, preferably within the science, education, or government sectors.
Skills:
- Interest in space science and STEM education.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Familiarity with digital media platforms and basic content creation tools.
- Willingness to learn and support cross-functional outreach projects.
- Microsoft Office (including Visio)
- Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Premiere Pro, Illustrator) – basic proficiency preferred
