Overall Job Objective:
The Program Business Development Specialist reports to the Mission Director for ensuring compliance with legal, regulatory, and export frameworks while driving partnerships and business opportunities. The Business Development specialist manages all agreements and contracts, and also works with the space industry in the UAE and globally to foster collaborations.
Job Responsibilities:
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, memorandums of understanding (MOUs), and partnership agreements.
- Advise on intellectual property rights and licensing arrangements for mission technologies.
- Oversee compliance with national and international export control regulations, such as ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations) and EAR (Export Administration Regulations).
- Collaborate with regulatory authorities to ensure smooth transnational transfer of goods and technologies.
- Identify and cultivate partnerships with global space agencies, research institutions, and private sector stakeholders.
- Assess and mitigate legal, financial, and compliance risks related to international partnerships and export activities.
Qualification and Experience:
- Business Administration, International Relations, or Space Law Degree
- 4+ years in in legal advisory, export control, or business development roles, preferably within the aerospace or defense sector.
- Experience in export control regulations, including ITAR and EAR.
